After much searching I found Hunt's Mesa in the Monument Valley Navajo reservation on the Arizona-Utah border. I've been there twice, and both times I was blessed with magical light comparable to the painting. I tried to get Howard to visit to no avail. It was enough for him to experience it in his own imagination.  |
