After buying a cheapo scanner that about 0 capability when it came to scanning slides with dark areas (see here http://www.cerebros.demon.co.uk/index.htm) I'm resigned to having to buy something more expensive to bring out the glory of my slides (the cheapo scanner was supposed to be a stop gap until i could afford something a lot more expensive). If i'm spending more money, I'm gonna want to be able to produce scans capable of being printed at A3 which is why i'm looking at the FS4000, but I also need to be able to get all the detail out of the shadow areas of my slides, like those on the linked page above. Is the FS4000 gonna be up to the job with Kodachrome, Velvia & Provia?
