Are there any advantages to scanning in 48 bit mode and then converting to 24 bit in photoshop? My main destination at the moment is the web and therefore JPEG, so I have to convert to 24 bit anyway. Purely from a quality point of view (forgetting about file size and time to scan) I would like to know if there are any advantages in the 48 bit scan?:
