The answer to your question is dependent on a lot of different things. The fs4000 will scan at a resolution way higher than any flatbed, but at 4000dpi through a USB connection you're talking more than 5mins per frame, more if you use the dust cleaning sofware. SCSI reduces time, as does turning dust cleaning off. Never the less, the FS4000 should be brought for the high quality, high resolution images it produces, not cause its quick!
